Broadmoor. Fabulous Homes. Perfect Location. Stunning homes are only steps away from shopping centres and transportation. From many homes in the area London and Errington are within walking distance. The beauty of this neighbourhood is that you're NOT out in the middle of nowhere. Many luxury homes are at least a half an hour away from any great shopping, coffee, doctors, etc. Broodmore is walking distance Safeway, Starbucks, banks, dentists, and more. The Broadmoore Shopping Centre offers Pioneers Pub, a bakery, restaurants, a theatre, and more. The great outdoors is taken advantage of as well. Great bike trails go through lane ways and designated bike lanes. The community centre is just short drive away and offers free exercise programs, as well as free tennis and basketball courts. This is a great upwardly mobile community with a multicultural flavour. Both the mayor and yours truly live here!

Broadmoore is located off of Steveston Hwy to the south;  to the north  Blundell Road;  to the East  No 3 Road and to the West Gilbert Road.  It is close to the airport, but you'd never know it. You don't hear the air traffic noise, yet you're moments away. Astronaut families take advantage of this fact. You will find families in the area that work abroad and call their home Broodmoor. It's a safe community where people enjoy the fresh air of the winds off of the Pacific Ocean. Many people actually move here for the prestigious schools in the area. Ferris and Errington Elementary, as well as the popular Steveston London. At Steveston London, it is recognized that students learn in a variety of ways as well as at different rates. Enrichment opportunities are offered to highly motivated, gifted or underachieving students.

Many of Richmond's Broadmoor homes are on the newer end of construction. Very few homes were built prior to 1956, when many of the area was still farmland. Generally, you will find homes ranging built from the 1970's to the late 2000's. You can still find a few of the older 700 sq ft bungalows available. Many homes range in the 3,000 to 4,000 square foot size and are newer, neo-colonial two level homes with 2 car garages and gated concrete driveways. If you look in depth, you will find a few traditional bungalows and split level homes in fantastic condition. These homes still remain, but are becoming more and more rare in this area of redevelopment.
